A Water Tender is used to
transport large quantities of water for fire suppression
into areas not serviced by fire hydrants.
Tender 91, pictured here, carries 2800 gallons of
water.
Currently the Fire District operates only one (1)
18-year-old Water Tender from its headquarters
station. A second tender will be purchased providing for a backup
unit to be used during maintenance/mechanical downtime and will provide a tender for the Summit Lake Fire
Station. |
